2020 appointed County Queens are appointed by Counties within Iowa.

The first contestant to register is appointed a county title. If your county age division is already being represented State Staff will encourage you to choose a surrounding county.

The Midwest Regional State Pageant will be held in Maryville, MO December 2020.

Areas of Competition

Required Areas of Competition:

Introduction — The introduction portion of the competition is for Little Miss, Junior Miss, Teen Miss, Miss, Ms, Mrs & Elite Ms contestants only. Tiny Miss and Future Little Miss will still walk on stage, but the emcee’s will read their information. We want our Miss United States Agriculture Queens to be well spoken and feel comfortable speaking in front of a crowd. This is your opportunity to tell the judges about your state and its agricultural base! Attire for this area of competition is solid white bottoms with your Miss United States Agriculture TShirt that you will pick up at check-in. Bottoms can be shorts, pants, skirt or capris. Bottoms MUST BE SOLID WHITE. You can wear a belt if you choose and shoe color is of your choosing.

Formal Wear — For the formalwear competition Tiny Miss & Future Little Miss contestants will need a short pageant dress. Little Miss contestants have the choice of either a short or long pageant dress. Junior Miss, Teen Miss, Miss, Ms., Mrs., & Elite Ms. contestants will need a floor length gown.

On Stage Question — The Little Miss through Elite Ms. Divisions will have an onstage question. Each contestant will pull their question from a bowl. Each question will be different. Questions will be age appropriate and not political or controversial in nature.

Interview – Little Miss – Elite Ms. –Interview is a one on one session with the judges! Questions will be age appropriate. Dress will be the same as the on stage Introduction. The Miss United States Agriculture Tee Shirt and white bottoms. You can wear a belt if you choose and shoe color is of your choosing.

Photogenic— If you choose to participate in photogenic as an optional you may submit up to 4 ADDITIONAL photos (total of FIVE Photos) at  Photos must be 8×10 and can be in color or black and white. All photos should be turned in at check in! Please do not bring them in any type of cover. We will place them in a clear sheet protector with your age division and contestants number at check in. Photogenic entry fee: $50

State Fun Fashion — During this “fun fashion” the emcee will be reading a brief intro about YOUR state that you have provided! (the state you are representing at Nationals) Incorporate that into your FUN FASHION!


Iowa County Queens are required to sell a 1/2 page Sponsorship in our State Program Book to compete at the State Competition. Ad page is due by no later than August 1st and is a total of $150.

Winners at the state pageant will receive:

All Winners will receive their beautiful Iowa Miss United States Agriculture sash and beautiful rhinestone sash pin, Iowa Miss United States Agriculture crown, scholarship (for the Miss division) and a prize package from our sponsors. All title holders will be encouraged to compete at the National Pageant June 2021!


All contestants in each division will stand on stage during their divisional crowning. We will begin with Tiny and work to Elite Ms.

*A 1st and 2nd runner up are awarded only in age divisions that have 5 or more contestants. Age divisions with 10 or more contestants will have a top 5 announced.


What is the People’s Choice Title?

We award one People’s Choice titles at State for each state, and will continue to compete at the National Competition. There are multiple ways to receive votes:

  • 1 Vote = $1 (Monetary donations go to the Scholarship fund). Found on the website, this will open August 1st, 2020.
  • 1 Non-Perishable Food Item = 1 vote (all donations will go to the local food pantry). Items will be brought to the state pageant

What is the Cover Miss Title?

We award one Cover Miss title to the Midwest queens, and this one queen will continue to compete at nationals. The queen awarded will continue to compete at Nationals. The queens photo and title will be used on the cover of the State Program book. This title is awarded to the queen who sells the most ad pages. What is the Miss Agriculture title?

We award one Miss Agriculture title at State for each state, and will continue to compete at nationals. The Miss Agriculture title is an award based on Volunteering, AGvocating, and Promoting our program. This queen is someone who is actively involved in our program, she volunteers her time, talents and energy to benefit the less fortunate in her community. This queen is truly a role model for young ladies across the nation and in the Agriculture Industry.
