Being 2018 National Cover Miss for the Miss United States Agriculture pageant so far this year has been an unforgettable experience. My favorite experience so far has been the 2018 Alaska State Fair. With the Alaska State Fair, I was able to participate in the state fair parade, volunteer in the Palmer nursing home, and explore and discover the amazing things Alaska has to offer. As the state fair ran for two weeks I was able to meet new inspiring people everyday, and continue to spread my knowledge of Alaskan Agriculture. Along with meeting new people I was able to help with the pumpkin and cabbage weighing competition, and the 4-H swine show. As the year continues, I will be visiting elementary schools to promote healthy Alaska Grown foods, and the importance of agriculture. My next event as Cover Miss is to volunteer at the Dare to Wear Pink cancer awareness event, and the McKinnell House Birthday for less fortunate families.
